Samsung Introduces High-Capacity Laundry Solutions for Businesses

Samsung Electronics has expanded its business-to-business (B2B) appliance portfolio with the launch of two large-capacity commercial laundry machines designed for businesses across Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Announced on October 16, 2026, the new products include the Samsung Professional Washer WF9100F, with an 18kg capacity, and the Samsung Professional Dryer DV9100F, with a 14kg capacity. The machines are designed to help businesses process larger laundry loads, manage daily operations efficiently and make better use of available floor space.

The launch targets businesses such as self-service laundromats, hotels, resorts, hospitals, beauty salons and spas that need to handle high volumes of laundry throughout the day.

Key Features of Samsung's New Commercial Laundry Machines

1. Large Capacity and Faster Washing

The WF9100F washer has an 18kg capacity and uses Bubble Wash technology to help detergent penetrate fabrics and remove dirt. Samsung says a normal washing cycle can be completed in approximately 36 minutes under its specified test conditions.

The machine also offers six washing programmes, including Normal, Heavy Duty, Synthetics, Delicates, Clean Wash and Rinse+Spin.

2. High-Capacity Drying

The DV9100F dryer supports loads of up to 14kg and uses a vented drying system. It includes multiple drying cycles and 10- and 20-minute time options to accommodate different fabrics and operational needs.

Its stainless-steel drum is designed to withstand regular commercial use, while the available gas and electric models provide businesses with installation flexibility.

3. Durability for Frequent Use

The washer features a Direct Drive motor with Inverter technology and a beltless design. Samsung has also incorporated Vibration Reduction Technology Plus (VRT+) to help reduce vibration during operation.

These features are intended to support stable performance and durability in environments where machines may be used repeatedly throughout the day.

4. Space-Saving Installation

The washer and dryer can be stacked vertically using the required installation kits, helping businesses make better use of limited floor space.

The dryer also features a reversible door, allowing operators to adjust its opening direction according to the layout of their laundry facility.

5. Easier Management and Maintenance

The washer's Manager Mode allows operators to customise settings such as washing duration, water levels and spinning time.

The machines also include maintenance-focused features. The washer's Drum Clean cycle helps clean the drum, while the dryer has a vent sensor that alerts operators when the air duct needs cleaning.

These capabilities are designed to help businesses maintain equipment performance and reduce avoidable maintenance issues.

Which Businesses Can Benefit?

Samsung's new commercial laundry equipment is designed for several business segments.

  • Laundromats: Operators can process more laundry per load and manage high customer demand.

  • Hotels and resorts: Larger loads can help handle towels, bedding and linens more efficiently.

  • Hospitals and healthcare facilities: High-capacity machines can support frequent laundering requirements.

  • Beauty salons and spas: Businesses can manage towels and other reusable linens throughout the day.

  • Residential properties: Apartments and worker accommodation facilities can provide shared self-service laundry facilities.

The equipment is intended to support businesses that need reliable laundry capacity without allocating excessive space to their laundry operations.

Samsung Expands Its Regional B2B Strategy

Samsung plans to make the new laundry solutions available initially in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, with plans to expand into additional markets across Southeast Asia and Oceania.

The launch reflects Samsung's broader strategy of extending its appliance expertise beyond consumer products into commercial and enterprise environments.

At its October 2026 regional showcase in Hanoi, the company also highlighted connected appliance management, commercial heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) solutions, and technologies designed for hospitality, residential and corporate environments.

Samsung's B2B portfolio increasingly combines physical appliances with connected management platforms, allowing businesses to monitor equipment and manage operations across properties.

What This Means for the Commercial Appliance Market

Demand for commercial laundry equipment is closely linked to the growth of hospitality, self-service laundromats, residential developments and other businesses with recurring laundry requirements.

For equipment manufacturers, the opportunity extends beyond selling machines. Businesses also value reliability, manageable maintenance requirements, efficient use of space and tools that simplify day-to-day operations.

Samsung's latest launch illustrates how consumer appliance manufacturers are adapting products for commercial customers with different capacity, durability and operational needs.

As Samsung expands its B2B offering across Southeast Asia and Oceania, the adoption of these machines will depend on local availability, pricing, operating costs and how effectively they meet the needs of individual businesses.
