LinkedIn Sales Connect, held in Bengaluru, brought together sales leaders, marketers and technology experts to discuss how AI, real-time signals and network intelligence are changing B2B sales. The event highlighted a shift away from high-volume cold outreach toward more contextual, relationship-led selling.

A key focus was LinkedIn's B2B Network Intelligence, which uses signals such as executive movements, shared connections and previous relationships to help sales teams identify the right people and the right time to engage. According to LinkedIn's research, top-performing sellers track 18% more signals on average, helping them identify accounts with stronger buying opportunities.

LinkedIn also announced upgrades to Sales Navigator, including deeper integration with sales engagement tools and Microsoft Teams alerts. Sellers can receive notifications about important account changes, such as a new executive joining a target company or a member of a buying committee leaving.

The discussion also highlighted the growing role of agentic AI in sales. AI agents can analyse large numbers of accounts, map buying groups and identify relevant stakeholders much faster than traditional manual research.

For sales and marketing leaders, the broader message was that AI should not simply increase outreach volume. Instead, it should help teams improve targeting, timing, personalisation and sales velocity. Leaders from companies including CleverTap, Microland, Zoho and Razorpay discussed how they are embedding AI directly into workflows and measuring its impact through business and customer outcomes.

Why it matters: B2B sales is moving from “contact more prospects” to “understand the right buyer at the right moment.” With network intelligence, intent signals and AI agents becoming part of the sales stack, relationship context could become increasingly important for generating qualified opportunities.
